Here are some organizations that offer financial help for pet guardians experiencing financial hardship.  They all have an online application process, and are open to people anywhere in the United States.

Be sure to read the application and all accompanying information carefully, and apply for all that you are eligible for.  Each organization has its own eligibility guidelines and application procedure.  Be aware that funding situations may change. 

• Bow Wow Buddies

  Funds urgent medical care and aids with veterinary bills for serious conditions.  Online application:  Apply for Grant | Bow Wow Buddies Charity

• Frankie’s Friends

  Provides grants to assist with the cost of life-saving or life-enhancing emergency or specialty care for pets whose families cannot afford the full cost of treatment. Online application:https://www.frankiesfriends.org/national-frankies-friends-fund

• For the Love of Alex

• Hope Mending Hearts

• Lexi’s Legacy

  Provides funding necessary medical treatments for certain serious conditions and emergency services.  Online application:https://www.lexis-legacy.org/grant-application

• Marshmellow Baby's Paw for Help

  Provides financial aid for the medical care of small dogs, primarily Maltese and similar breeds.  Online application:https://www.mellowbpawsforhelp.org/new-page

• Miranda's People

• The Mosby Foundation

  Helps pay for non-routine medical expenses, including but not limited to cancer and heart disease.  Has a special fund for senior dogs.  Online application:https://themosbyfoundation.org/apply-for-aid/

• Onyx and Breezy Foundation

  Provides grant funding and support for treatment and care, especially for the dogs of veterans suffering from PTSD and pets of individuals where medical hardship is present.  Online application:https://www.onyxandbreezy.org/grant-application.html

• Paws for a Cure

  Provides financial assistance for urgent veterinary care treatment to dogs and cats when pet guardians are unable to afford treatment costs for illness or injury.  Online application: https://www.paws4acure.org/askforhelp.php

• Pet Assistance Inc.

  Helps to fund urgent and emergency care. Will not work with veterinary clinic chains such as VCA, etc.  Online application:https://www.petassistanceinc.org/financialaid

• The Pet Fund

  Helps fund treatment for pets of low income people, but must have a permanent address and an eligible source of income (which can include disability benefits, social security, or temp work).  Online application:https://www.thepetfund.com/for-pet-owners

• Pets of the Homeless

  Pays for emergency veterinary care for pets of low income and unhoused people. Online application: https://petsofthehomeless.org/get-help/

• Red Rover Relief Fund

• Violet's Friends
