Very Special Thanks
We have lots of reasons to be thankful and those who donate to Pro-Bone-O are one of the reasons. It is through their generosity that we are able to continue our good work. And it is particularly noteworthy that the children in our community are very much concerned about the health and welfare of those less fortunate. This page is devoted to them.
Edgewood Community Elementary school 1st and 2nd graders have been instrumental in one of our major fundraisers - Mother's and Father's Day cards - because they are the designers/creators of these very special cards. Many very loved moms and dads have received these creative, hand-made cards, touching their hearts and helping pets along the way. Here are a few samples from years past. Unitarian Universalist Church Youth Groups have chosen Pro-Bone-O twice as an organization to help. Through their creative talents and hard work, they have raised funds for our spay/neuter program and provided the pets we help with collars, leashes and toys. How cool is that?
Amanda Allender asked for her 7thbirthday that gifts to be ones for the pets that Pro-Bone-O helps. And, she did it again for her 8th birthday!
Skye Lipscom spent some time at one of our clinics bagging food for the pets, he later decided to make and bring them treats! Yummy!!
Kaylee Garman saves money all year long. At the end of the year, she donates that money to an organization she believes is helping her community. One year, Kaylee donated her savings - $100 - to Pro-Bone-O to fund the spay of a female dog.
Edgewood Community Elementary devoted their time to bagging food and making dog treats for some very grateful recipients.
Roosevelt Middle School ACT classes selected Pro-Bone-O in 2006 as a community service project. When the project was completed, we received a huge donation of toys, food, collars, leashes, treats, and a $2,000 check to continue the much needed veterinary care given to the beloved pets who are treated at our clinics.
