Meet the Board Members

   
Anne Baden, our board President, is a compassionate and insightful advocate for the need of veterinary care for pets of people who are homeless or low-income. Believing in community involvement, Anne has served on the boards of the YMCA, the South Twin Lake Conservation Society and currently, the Community Veterinary Center. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Anne and her husband, Ed, are local business owners. Baden & Company is an award-winning, full-service advertising agency with clients ranging throughout the United States. Anne enjoys country living with her family, including her dogs, cats and horses.
   
Vicki Bockes has been with Pro-Bone-O since its inception, and is our Corresponding Secretary/Treasurer, webmistress and primary grant writer. Vicki has been involved with the Animal Welfare Network of Lane County, the Overpopulation Crisis Coalition and was a member of the LCAS liaison committee for the No Kill Coalition Committee. She has been part of several rescue organizations for many years and is a member of the McKenzie Cascade Dog Fanciers. Graduated and retired from the University of Oregon, Vicki shares her home with her beloved welsh corgis and runs OxbowCrew Creations, a business creating pet-related greeting cards.
   

Diane Weaver, CVT, originally from Chicago, Illinois, has been an animal advocate most of her life. She began her veterinary technician career in 1979. A volunteer vet tech with Pro-Bone-O for almost 3 years, she joined the PBO board in November of 2011. Diane works part time as a surgery technician at Emerald Valley Pet Medical Center in Eugene. She also volunteers at Lane County Animal Services and Shelter Animal Resource Alliance (S.A.R.A). As the wife of a Coast Guard helicopter pilot, she moved around the country and worked in many veterinary clinics, as well as volunteering in a variety of animal shelters along the way. She has been involved in obedience and agility training and competition with her dogs. Now, with her husband retired, she lives on a "ranch" in Elmira with 5 dogs, 4 cats, 2 horses, 2 alpaca, 2 llamas, an angora  goat, 12 chickens, and her very tolerant husband. Diane has her federal & state wildlife rehabilitation permits and has volunteered at various rehabilitation facilities including Cascades Raptor Center in Eugene. When she is not caring for animals, she enjoys weaving, spinning, reading and horseback riding

   

Elise Radebaugh, DVM, grew up in the mountains of Colorado. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She received her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Colorado State University in 2004. After completing a rigorous one-year internship at a 20-doctor practice near Denver, Colorado, she was trained in medical acupuncture at Colorado State University. This certification program integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with modern knowledge of the nervous system. Her homeopathic study was under Dr. Richard Pitcairn. With a strong commitment to life-long learning she is always looking for ways to expand her knowledge. Elise enjoys volunteering for Pro-Bone-O, Feral Spay and Neuter Program and S.A.R.A. when she is not practicing holistic medicine at her clinic, Healing Paws Wellness Center.

   
Deanna Larson is a professional writer and a full-time animal lover. She lives on a ranch with ten dogs, nine horses, eight cats, five goats, two pigs, two llamas and her husband, Dave. She is our Donations Coordinator, coordinates an occasional clinic, volunteers with the Community Veterinary Center, and walks the Bark in the Park with her terrier, Rudy. She has fostered cats for West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue and for several years she recruited veterinarians and technicians for the Feral Cat Coalition’s Eugene clinics. She is currently writing a memoir, Menagerie Ranch: the Miracles and Mishaps of Animal Rescue, and has written magazine articles that have appeared in Mother Earth News, Dog & Kennel, Hobby Farms, The Chronicle of the Horse and many more.
   
Connie Manning is our Fundraising/Events Chairperson. Having worked in management for 30 years, Connie decided to venture forth and follow her heart. She opened her first Bare Bones Dog Wash in 2002, her second in 2007, and now also consults people interested in building their own businesses. Connie brings her business acumen, entrepreneurial nature and high energy to the board. Connie is committed to the humane treatment of all animals, creating opportunities for others and keeping her hometown vibrant. She loves the arts and gardening and shares her home with Nina (the Velcro Dog) and Allie Cat (the one who really runs things).
   
Jeannie Peterson has a varied background of social service work. Currently retired after 12 years of being the liaison for homeless students and families in Cottage Grove, she serves as our Vice-President and is the chair of the Community Outreach Committee as well as volunteering at clinics. She has been with PBO since almost the very beginning. Jeannie is also active with the Humane Society of Cottage Grove. She served on that board as Vice President for over 12 years. Jeannie created their  Low Income Spay/Neuter Assistance Program in 2000 and has served as its coordinator ever since, processing almost 1300 applications and facilitating the altering of over 1100 South Lane dogs and cats.  She has been with HSCG for over 12 years in various capacities. Jeannie lives with her dog and cat just outside Cottage Grove.
   
Rolly Thompson is another board member who has been involved with Pro-Bone-O almost since its beginning. She lives on a small farm located in the hills southwest of Eugene where she and her husband have sheep and alpacas. Rolly is a spinner, knitter and a novice weaver. She is a past member of The Black Sheep Gathering committee, held annually at the Lane County Fairgrounds. She is a Returned Peace Corps volunteer and current member of the West Cascade Peace Corps Association. She shares space with 1 cat, 5 dogs, 2 llamas, 16 alpacas, and 24 sheep.
   
Victoria Williams has volunteered with local animal welfare groups - Stray Cat Alliance, Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon, Willamette Animal Guild, and West Coast Dog and Cat Rescue - for about 10 years, and wishes that ALL animals had loving and safe homes. Pro-Bone-O receives the largest part of her time and attention these days as board member, clinic coordinator, clinic co-coordinator, or whatever needs to be done. Co-owner of PrintWear of Oregon, a Eugene screen printing business, she shares her office with 3 cats: Kali, Durga, and Lakshman [who is blind]. At home, The Roonies, Raja and Krishna, deign to share their condo with her - and sometimes even let her sleep in their bed. Victoria is also a raving (some might say "rabid") fan of the Oregon Ducks, especially football. She is an active member of the Daisy Ducks and the Fast Break Club; those of you who attend basketball games may recognize her as the green-and-yellow-haired and be-costumed "Bingo Queen".Go Ducks!!
